A steel fire door is built from cold-rolled steel leaves and frame with a fire-rated insulating core, and is equipped with fire-rated locks, hinges, closers and sequencers. In a fire it preserves integrity, insulation and smoke control, giving people a safe means of escape and protecting fire compartments.
Doors are graded by fire resistance: Class A (≥90 min), Class B (≥60 min) and Class C (≥30 min), covering stairwells, lobbies, service shafts and plant rooms. They are tested to recognised fire-resistance standards and supplied with full certification and inspection documentation.
